How do you define health? How do you understand health actions and how to build them into your work routine and organizational goals? What impact does health education and health communication in school environments have on health actions—health behavior?
Environmental actions provide a strong foundation for environmental stewardship. How do you incorporate environmental sustainability and conservation into your company goals? Do you begin with giving back to the environment? Should it be necessary to understand what the environment we live in means to us?
How do we live our lives comfortably within a sustainable paradigm? How does our thinking challenge our health actions? Can we learn new health actions and change the way we do things to have better health and well-being? How do we make our health actions sustainable so that we have better health outcomes as our societies rapidly change with technology?
Attending health workshops is a health action for self-improvement and sustainability. Can you perform your health forecasting into the future? Is it cost-effective to change our daily living through a change in mindset? Our lifestyle behaviors become our routine behaviors. How can health workshops profoundly influence our daily thinking?
Being an upstander for health encompasses all walks of life including family relationships, friendships, work life and life in society. Being an Upstander means building community awareness about WHY health actions are important and WHAT health means to every family relationship, every friendship, every co-worker, and each member of society. In group discussion, we learn and understand more about our health, our conflicts, our lives, and where we are in our health goals together. When we give of our time to achieve our goals in health, we are taking the steps to become more health literate and empower our understanding of our health disposition. What is your health role in your own health and well-being? Can you make a difference in the world by a daily change in your health conversations?
In one year and six months from now, which will be October 2021, we could look forward to a vaccine against COVID-19. Until the vaccine for Coronavirus has been developed and works proficiently, our ability to combat this disease relies heavily on our sense of health awareness. We can only protect those we love by adhering to strict public health regimens. Until we are free of this, we have got to be fully aware of our responsibility to each other. Second Waves: Concerns are quite real. As Dr. Anthony Fauci (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) has repeatedly said there may be “second waves” of Coronavirus. The social arena has been transformed by this virus, and are likely to continue until a vaccine is possible. It remains concerning that peaks can only be determined through our full compliance on being socially distanced. As we continue to normalize our lives, our health awareness relies heavily on health education. Our current PSAs (public service announcements) need to be prolific if we are to impact our current health behavior. hashtag#coronavirushealtheducation
We must clearly integrate a new system of helping our current doctors, nurses and health workers. A lot of healthcare workers have become sick themselves and many doctors and nurses have noted that people go from having mild symptoms to struggling to breathe. This is what is being seen. This is why it’s so concerning. There’s a national shortage of albuterol inhalers for asthma (as an example). There is a major shortage of masks, ventilators, all personal protective equipment like gowns, and face shields in the U.S. As our own health workers become susceptible, they are also being asked to use the same masks, gowns etc. continually. This poses a risk of cross contamination because particles are on them already from previous usage treating patients. There’s a need here to keep informed because collectively we can try together to come up with ways to help in our own individual communities.
